Sure the CD is basically dead. If not now, then tomorrow.
But turntables are still around, and perhaps the great CD player designs will survive the switch to a more digital, digital music. The Beo 9000 for example should make the cut. We believe the same will be true of this concept from Antoine Lebrun & Volkan Akbiyik called The Pandora Alcantara... that is, if its ever gets made. It mixes a bit of the new with the old featuring a remote with a touchscreen and that tilt sensing thing that iPhones do. But the real appeal is just how sexy it really is. Its as hot as an iPhone and get this, its covered in Alcantara, that suede like material that's only used in exotic cars and yachts.

We haven't seen a video come out like this since 'We are the world' where Michael Jackson lead an all star cast of musicians in a song to benefit the famine relief effort in Africa. We haven't heard a speech that could inspire a generation to sing like this since Martin Luther King spoke his last words. And we haven't wanted to vote so bad as we do today.
