The feel of Tom's work is so surreal. They're paintings that borderline on realism and then deviate into illustration just to keep things interesting. It's a very delicate blend of styles that he has mastered. His little characters are what get us the most tho. Talk about animal instincts... and for that matter, when is the last time you've used the word majesty in a sentence? Yeah, it's been a long time for me too, but that was the first word out of my mouth when I saw the work of French designer Antoine Helbert. 

It almost reminds us of that movie The Cell or Pan's Labyrinth the way he mixes animals and humans with mystery and majesty. Wow twice in one day.
