The feel of Tom's work is so surreal. They're paintings that borderline on realism and then deviate into illustration just to keep things interesting. It's a very delicate blend of styles that he has mastered. His little characters are what get us the most tho. These little critters have some of the weirdest faces, and the eyes... sure to freak you out... if even just a bit. Look for them all over the place. Enjoy, and then stop by his site for more.

Read More Talk about animal instincts... and for that matter, when is the last time you've used the word majesty in a sentence? Yeah, it's been a long time for me too, but that was the first word out of my mouth when I saw the work of French designer Antoine Helbert.

It almost reminds us of that movie The Cell or Pan's Labyrinth the way he mixes animals and humans with mystery and majesty. Wow twice in one day. Okay sure, sometimes it is a bit freaky, but that's not all he's good at. Look below for more and then stop by his site for a full portfolio of some freaky and twisted visions.

Read More Jason Levesque of StuntKid represents VA. and brings a fresh intensity to his images which are crosses between illustration and other 2D elements. What's impressive is that while most illustrators either draw from memories or other peoples pictures, Jason takes his own shots and is a pretty good photographer. That multi-disciplined approach makes for some highly stylized, really engaging work. Check him out.

Read More This girl has a very expressive style about her. The way she creates eyes packs a lot of emotion. Its something we've grown to respect because it is really difficult to achieve with illustration. She's somehow found a way to give her subjects life and mystery and romance... and take a look at the details. They are all rich with intricacies. Stop thru and check out her site for more.

Read More Speaking of vlossing it up, UK designer Pete Harrison of Aeiko {eye-co} has a knack for beautiful sparks and flares. He's managed to put together a really progressive portfolio of work for clients such as Dolce & Gabbana, Intel and Microsoft... but we won't hold that last one against him. As with most artists his best work tends to be the stuff he does on his own. Check out his site for more of the same.
